Red Dot Corporation, the leading producer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, is recruiting for the following position:


Supervises processes and personnel’s involved in all activities related to the receiving, storage, internal distribution or the shipping of manufactured products and component parts as define for the shipping department. Manages day-to-day logistical activities, dispatches and completion of projects and tasks within receiving and shipping. Responsible for development and training of direct reports pertaining to the scope of all processes and procedures as defined for material transactions. Assists both the Inventory Supervisor and Materials Managers in maintaining and identifying best practices of inventory control, identify issues, assists with root cause investigation by defining the correct course of action to ensure no further occurrences. Develop and implement strategies to better streamline picking of materials within the shipping departments.


Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Evaluates and recommends systems, methods, equipment, space, defined work schedules and staffing needs to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products within receiving and shipping departments.
  • Maintains and fostered internal and external communications between accounting, purchasing, sales, production, and other related departments to assist with resolution of material issues or logistic requests.
  • Secures and protects company assets from damage, loss or theft within receiving and shipping departments.
  • Monitors inventory levels and advises appropriate managers or supervisors of overage or shortage conditions.
  • Maintains records necessary to track receipts or distribution of materials within the shipping departments.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory cycle counts. Identifies inventory control issues, identify root cause and takes timely corrective action to ensure no further occurrence of the issue.
  • Selects trains and evaluates the progress of assigned staffs within the allocated time to ensure all are compliance with all company policies and safety practices.
  • Responsible for improving and streamlining storage density to ensure efficient utilization of space and the proper resources allocated to maintain these efforts.
  • Responsible for activities related to MRO requests to support each departmental scope of work.
  • Organize incoming and outgoing shipments to include “pre-staging” activities, tracking backorders and shortages to help meet internal and external customer demands.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews on all direct reports
  • Performs other related assignments as directed by Materials Manager.

  • Provide internal and on-site customer support and problem solving as a work product/services expert. Make recommendations to management regarding solutions.
  • Able to work effectively both individually and in a team with minimal supervision; able to make decisions using own initiative based on company policy and regulating entities. Give regular updates to direct supervisor regarding progress and non-routine occurrences that may disrupt work schedule.
  • Ensure knowledge of the appropriate safety, security and environmental revisions. Handle relevant equipment with care, being concerned with safety and security. Immediately report safety concerns to Supervisor/Lead.
  • Ensure a professional appearance, use professional verbiage and maintain appropriate body language.
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume regulated environment applying strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot, problem-solve and effectively and efficiently make decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with external and internal personnel to include:
  • Active listening skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical subjects to internal and external personnel.
  • Strive for clarity and for alleviation of tension when the need arises.
  • Able to be effective in a wide range of cultural groups and cross-cultural relationships and have the ability to communicate clearly to non-native speakers.

Requirements:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a warehouse lead or related leadership experience.
  • Ability to create, access, input and analyze computer data and reports.
  • Proven satisfactory leadership, organizational and communication skills.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity and motor control to use common drafting implements and calculators.

Salary Grade** for this role is as follows:

Min: $60,000/annual

Mid: $65,000/annual

Max: $70,000/annual
