- Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of claim forms and related documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Organize and maintain client files, including correspondence, medical records, and evidence.
- Act as a liaison for clients regarding their claims, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and collecting necessary information to support their claims.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to aid in case preparation, and coordinate with medical professionals, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to gather and verify information.
- Maintain precise records of claim statuses, deadlines, and correspondence, and track important dates while following up on outstanding issues or missing information.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling phone calls.
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal assisting, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in tort law are a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably with a focus on claims processing or personal injury law.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a sharp attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research, document preparation, and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software are advantageous.
- Familiarity with legal software and other relevant tools is desirable.
