Patient Access Representative

- Obtain demographic, insurance, and financial information from patients or guarantors; enter information in the computer system accurately.
- Explain all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtain the necessary signatures.
- Ensure medical necessity compliance by obtaining data and reviewing the compliance system for accurate data.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure all notifications and authorizations are completed within the required timeframes.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One (1) – Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Proficient typing and keyboarding skills are highly preferred.
- Must lift 50 lbs. of objects when needed.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with no weekends
