Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee files/records and managing HR documents.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation sessions.- Answering phone calls and responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Help organize and coordinate training sessions and employee engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files and records.
  • Assist with audits and benefits administration.
  • Support compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Once a week travel to various offices in MD and VA

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience or education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong administrative skills or previous experience in an HR role is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Employment laws
