At California Sinus Centers we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of routine and advanced nasal

and sinus issues. We are seeking a motivated, certified full time Medical Scribe for Monday through

Friday 8- 5 pm for our Walnut Creek and satellite locations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist providers as scribe in all locations, assist other medical assistants with rooming patients
  • Taking vitals and detailed medical history, ensure PCP and referring provider is entered for every patient
  • Capture and enter health maintenance data for every patient
  • Ensure all providers, facilities, and treatments recommended to the patient are captured in the Plan of the visit note
  • Give patient education as requested
  • Schedule follow up appointments
  • Assist medical assistants with turning over exam rooms
  • Work with other office staff to cover both front and back office responsibilities
  • Assist providers in preparing for office visits in all locations
  • Capture all pertinent information needed for providers to make a diagnosis
  • Assist providers during office visits/in-office procedures
  • Scribe visit notes
  • Respond to Epic encounter messages
  • Act as a liaison between patients and our practice
  • Other essential duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
  • Attention to detail
  • Listening skills,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Time-management,
  • Compassion/empathy,
  • Knowledge of commonly used medical terminologies and procedures for ENT’s,
  • Professionalism,
  • Problem-solving,
  • Excellent typing skills (50+ wpm),
  • Accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Strongly preferred qualifications:

  • Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)
  • Scribing experience

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$21.00 - $24.00 *
