DPI Merchandising Inc. (DPIM) is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Merchandising Assistant to assist the Merchandising Department within the video game industry. DPI Merchandising Inc. is the leading exclusive Collector’s Edition, Custom Promotional Products and Apparel single source service firm that accomplishes all aspects of design, manufacturing, product testing, quality assurance, and global logistics.

Duties:

As E-Commerce Production Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and control of production processes and such duties as are assigned to you from time to time. You will report to the Sr Production Manager, who will be primarily responsible for evaluating your performance. You will work primarily from your home office.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with all Production staff and Executive Management within DPI MERCHANDISING
  • Drive towards process improvements to ensure efficiency
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with our sourced factories to ensure effective collaboration in meeting company objectives
  • Work collaboratively with product design, technical design, and sourcing to ensure that products are designed to achieve both cost and quality standards
  • Assist in Established and managing critical development targets and participate in all product-specific communication across both internal and external teams; including meeting recaps and manage all follow up Research competitive landscape, identifying key price points, product features and benefits, and differentiating factors among manufacturers
  • Assist in developing product management strategy for each season, including: Brain storming for ideas, product selection, vendor selection, available product materials and manufacturing processes, pricing negotiation, and communication to vendors throughout product development process
  • Communicate directly with vendors to confirm pricing, secure pre-production samples for review, and provide clear direction and quality control documents on sample approvals or revisions, to ensure accurate production and timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Maintain product tracking spreadsheets, to record progress of product development for each item
  • Product set up on our e-commerce platform
  • Work closing with Design and Marketing team to ensure launch schedule is met
  • Communicate with warehouse for product delivery
  • Help Customer Service with product issues.
  • Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end
  • Ability to spot and correct errors
  • Work must be done to accomplish goals. (i.e.) launch schedule
  • Critical thinking, problem solving skill

  • Basic knowledge of negotiation, strong attention to detail and accuracy skills are critical.


Experience:

  • Work experience in Product Development/Manufacturing field.
  • Purchasing knowledge including understanding of retail sales and/or E-commerce.
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox, Shopify, Fishbowl, Licensor Mediabox.
  • Licensed product experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Video Games & Pop Culture is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge in Logistics/Freight Forwarding.
