Opportunity Bank of Montana is adding to our outstanding team with an IS&T Systems Administrator. This position is responsible for day-to-day operation of bank-wide IT systems, with a large focus on administration of the Microsoft Technology Stack. You will evaluate, recommend, manage and complete new and ongoing projects for improved efficiency. You must maintain strong IT systems knowledge and act as a resource for the IS&T Support Team and the bank's overall goals and strategic objectives:

  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and maintenance of bank IT systems and structure.
  • Conduct projects for improved efficiency in conjunction with IS Support Team and/or Managed Services Provider.
  • Work in conjunction with Managed Services Provider to maintain network systems.
  • Evaluate, recommend, procure, configure, implement, manage, and maintain bank IT systems, hardware, and software.
  • Perform needed modifications, upgrades, or repairs to optimize system performance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with managing and completing a variety of new and ongoing projects within deadlines.
  • Monitor reports, tickets and assist with problem resolution.
  • Act as IT Systems technical liaison to bank staff.
  • Assist with overall software efficiencies, problem resolution and bank-wide training to implement software changes.
  • Assist with resolution of end user problems where expertise is required.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of IT hardware and software inventory.
  • Create and maintain procedure manuals, forms and documents.
  • Coordinate and implement Bank and Core system software updates/releases and problem resolution.
  • Assist with IT audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

2-year associates degree (computer science, information technology or related) & 2 years' experience in information technology or related field - or equivalent combination of education & experience


Education and Experience Preferences

4-year college degree (computer science, information technology or related) & 4 years' experience in information technology or related field - or equivalent combination of education & experience to include one or more years of administration of Microsoft Active Directory Knowledge of financial institution software and hardware Experience training others in the use of information technology Experience with project management
