The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for oversight for assigned and specific programs provided by the Clinical department, including the selection, training and supervision of both professional and non-professional staff that are assigned under those specific programs. The clinical supervisor will be responsible for the full success of the programs in which they supervise. Assures compliance with assigned program rules and all regulations in which the services are provided under. As a member of the Leadership Team, assists with the development of the program budgets, organizational policy, and other administrative initiatives. The Clinical Supervisor – CST is responsible for implementation and ongoing management of a team-based, recovery and resiliency oriented, intensive, community-based rehabilitation and outreach service for children and adults with complex behavioral health and social needs. This position requires advanced knowledge in the field of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment and community mental health obtained through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interviews, selects, trains, and supervises program staff under assigned programs. Monitors employee performance and completes monthly and annual evaluations. Works with HR Dept. to resolve any performance issues or concerns.
  • Oversees client referrals, intake, and admissions, assuring timely response to referral sources.
  • Maintains positive relationships and open communication with referring agencies and others with whom the agency collaborates on behalf of clients. Resolves concerns involving admissions, treatment plans and behavior management with the referring agency, the client, and the parent or guardian.
  • Participates in discharge decisions in order to assure appropriate planning, information sharing and the best interest of the resident.
  • Oversees record-keeping and reporting processes to ensure that the flow of written communication is current and effective.
  • Ensures that the program metrics and requirements are fulfilled and are up to date on contractual requirements.
  • Ensures compliance, and works to achieve performance goals of all assigned program goals
  • Participates in required committees assigned by the Clinical manager including but not limited to monthly clinical staffing and leadership meetings.
  • Responsible for all program reviews and the success of the program's key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for program outreach and marketing to prospective referral agents/organization
  • Ensure the clinical needs of clients are met and help assure program staff have a variety of clinical skills and applicable treatment modalities necessary for assigned programs
  • Continuously monitors the clinical needs of current clients and develops innovative approaches to meeting those needs.
  • Monitors direct service requirements of assigned program staff to ensure targets are being met.
  • Adheres to and follows all other required duties necessary and assigned by direct supervisor.

  • Skills in making public presentations, and in conducting formal training internally and externally.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Required: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program, or in a related human service field.
  • Required: Eligible for license of Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
  • Experience/Knowledge in evidence-based mental health interventions desirable for strong candidates.
  • Experience/knowledge of community mental health and Community Support Team service philosophy.
  • Possess the experience, personal qualities, and practice skills to work effectively with professionals from a variety of disciplines both internally and with other organizations

CARE & TCI

One of the essential job functions of any position within the agency is to align your performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE. All decisions, actions, communication, and performance should align with the six CARE principles (Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma Informed). Not only must you complete the CARE training with satisfactory participation, but you must then put that training into practice in your everyday work.

Every employee must also pass TCI training with a satisfactory grade in written and/or physical testing. All employees must remain current on refresher training that is provided monthly at all locations. You will be tested every 6 months on the physical portion, if applicable to your position. You will be tested annually on the written portion regardless of your position. If you are not current on your TCI refresher training every six months, you will be required to retake the full course. If you do not pass either test, you may be required to retake the full course. Not only must you complete the TCI training with satisfactory participation, but you must then put that training into practice in your everyday work.
