Job Title: Pricing Consultant

Overview: As a Pricing Consultant, you will work with organizations to develop and implement effective pricing strategies that optimize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness. You will analyze pricing data, conduct market research, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance pricing models and drive business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand pricing trends, customer preferences, and industry benchmarks. Use insights to inform pricing decisions and recommendations.
  • Analyze pricing data, sales performance, and cost structures to identify pricing opportunities and areas for improvement. Develop and utilize pricing models and tools to support decision-making.
  • Evaluate and refine pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profit margins. Implement pricing adjustments based on market conditions, cost changes, and competitive dynamics.
  • Assess cost structures and profitability to ensure pricing strategies reflect the value delivered to customers and cover costs effectively. Develop cost-based pricing models and recommendations.
  • Work closely with client teams, including sales, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and support successful implementation.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies. Provide clients with regular performance reports and actionable insights for optimization.
  • Support clients in managing changes related to pricing strategies, including communication plans, training, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in pricing or financial analysis (e.g., CPIM, CFA) preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in pricing consulting, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of pricing principles and practices, including pricing strategy development, data analysis, and market research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing optimization, with the ability to leverage insights to drive business improvements.
  • Proven ability to manage pricing projects, including coordinating with cross-functional teams and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinker, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
