JOB SUMMARY
As an Engineering Test Technician 3 at Marki Microwave you will be part of a highly skilled team developing the next generation of Marki best-in-class RF products. You will be responsible for supporting Engineers with testing and characterization of new products using advanced test techniques. The successful candidate will directly interface and coordinate activities with project, engineering and/or manufacturing personnel. Additionally, the candidate will have vast experience in RF measurement and equipment troubleshooting that contributes to the success of company direction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for identifying any issues regarding reliability, engineering, and/or design.
• Accurately characterize new products using multimeters, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, Noise Figure Meters, probe stations, synthesizers, and power meters. Report data to engineers with clear and concise communication.
• Owns the Set up and monitoring of RF power testing and over temperature testing for new products.
• Generates test data for all datasheet parameters as well as specific customer requested measurements covering DC to 110 GHz.
• Consults and collaborates with other departments as needed for clear and detailed understanding of requirements.
• Successfully troubleshoots production and prototype failures.
• Supports Application, Design, and Product Engineers with electrical measurements.
• Maintains R&D test lab to ensure equipment is in calibration and all required equipment is available.
• Support manufacturing with testing, power handling, tri-temperature testing and equipment troubleshooting.
• High level of data entry accuracy; effective time management
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload; ability to proactively communicate project status, including roadblocks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others, including multidisciplinary staff.
• May assist Manufacturing Test and troubleshooting.
• May coach and mentor junior members of the team and/or Manufacturing Test team.
• Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
• Associate’s degree or equivalent military training in Electronics with knowledge of RF/Microwave
• 12+ years’ experience testing RF/Microwave products
• Experience working with, troubleshooting and calibrating VNAs.
• Experience using a microscope and tweezers.
• Experience trimming PCB with an exacto knife.
