POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior RF Test Technician is tasked with evaluating Marki products, which encompass RF microwave components such as modules, bare die, packaged parts, and sub-assemblies. This role requires leadership in configuring and calibrating testing apparatus, conducting evaluations on production items, diagnosing issues, and assisting in the assessment of engineering samples as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up and calibrate testing instruments, including Vector Network Analyzers, Power Supplies, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, etc.
  • Execute electrical assessments on RF/microwave products and sub-assemblies.
  • Adjust electrical performance to align with product specifications, often necessitating work under a microscope.
  • Conduct inspections of products and validate documentation prior to testing.
  • Identify and troubleshoot product failures, testing challenges, and performance inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with operators to modify underperforming or defective products under supervisory guidance.
  • Compile and maintain discrepancy reports summarizing findings and proposing solutions to technical issues.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics relevant to product assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Provide training support to fellow technicians or test operators as required.
  • Maintain testing equipment, accessories, workstations, and tools.
  • Participate in ongoing product enhancement initiatives.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; some college education is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in RF Microwave testing and tuning.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics as they relate to product assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with RF Microwave testing equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Power Supplies, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, etc.
  • Capable of reading and following Schematics, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and other written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with basic data analysis capabilities and a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from management, peers, and clients.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
