Position: Finance/Payroll Coordinator $50K-$55K Remote Based or Hybrid
Position Overview:
American Promise seeks a detail oriented, experienced payroll/finance coordinator. As the Payroll/Finance coordinator, you will be responsible for; completing payroll, accounts payable, ledger entries, expense allocation, data entry, assisting with audit preparation, internal customer service and supporting Human Resources with benefits administration, file maintenance and operational tasks. The position is based remotely or hybrid if located near Concord MA. Full-time, 40 hours per week with very infrequent off hours and travel to meetings and conferences. The role requires exceptional communication skills, knowledge of payroll/finance, strong attention to detail, and a passionate commitment to the mission, values, and objectives of American Promise.

A minimum of three years’ experience in a non-profit finance support role; accounts payable, expense coding, data entry, payroll, audit preparation etc.
Organizational skills; precise data entry, great attention to detail, adhere to audit and operational compliance standards.
Computer proficiency and technical competence; Ability to learn and adapt to new software. Experience in QuickBooks online required, Excel, knowledge of G-suite, ADP and virtual meeting platforms.
Team Oriented; collaborative, demonstrates positive attitude, assists others when needed, demonstrates initiative to meet goals and objectives.
Mathematical aptitude: compile and report statistical information, data and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Problem solving; ability to troubleshoot, creative approach to overcoming obstacles.
Time Management & Flexibility; must be able to easily adapt to organizational change and shifting priorities. Ability to meet assigned deadlines, multi-tasking and prioritizing.
