Director of Transition Services (Connections Director)

Position Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Executive Director


Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? Mansfield Hall is looking for a dedicated Director of Transition Services (Connections) to join our team. In this role, you will guide students through their educational journeys, ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Students: Provide personalized support to students transitioning from Mansfield Hall to college or community life.
  • Develop Plans: Create and manage individualized Pathway to Independence Plans, working closely with students, parents, and team members.
  • Collaborate: Communicate regularly with parents, faculty, and community resources to support student growth and address challenges.
  • Monitor Progress: Conduct weekly goal-setting sessions and provide coaching/tutoring to help students stay on track.
  • College Registration: Assist students with the college registration process, including monitoring important dates and facilitating course registrations.
  • Promote Support Services: Encourage students to utilize on-campus academic support and disability services, promoting self-advocacy and independence.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field (graduate degree preferred).
  • Experience: At least three years of experience working with diverse learners in higher education settings.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to build strong professional relationships and work independently.
