We’re looking for a Facilities Maintenance Manager who has hands-on experience in managing and maintaining material handling systems. A strong background in electrical and mechanical work will be essential to perform maintenance tasks and make repairs, ensuring everything is done professionally and efficiently. The ideal candidate will quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of our system operations and be prepared to address any challenges that may arise, and a strong emphasis on safety is paramount.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Schedule, train, supervise, and motivate employees for the maintenance department
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
  • Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
  • Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts
  • Control and monitor spare parts inventory
  • Ensure that all vehicles are cleaned, fueled, and in proper working order
  • Works closely with Safety Dept to implement safety policies and procedures for the department
  • Must be on call as needed
Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience with budget management


Education/Experience/Training:

  • High School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience in a maintenance management role
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems


Physical Demands and Environment:

  • Work requires frequent standing or walking throughout the work day
  • Work requires considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks requiring periods of focused mental and visual concentration
  • Works in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to environmental factors such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals
  • Ability to lift cases averaging 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height
  • Ability to operate a two-wheeled hand truck, pushing, pulling, and handling weights up to 165 lbs.
