We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with extensive experience in overseeing and sustaining material handling systems. A solid foundation in both electrical and mechanical disciplines is crucial for executing maintenance tasks and performing repairs, ensuring that all activities are conducted with professionalism and efficiency. The successful candidate will rapidly develop a thorough understanding of our operational systems and be equipped to tackle any challenges that may emerge, with a strong focus on safety being essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, instruct, oversee, and inspire personnel within the maintenance division
- Manage tasks executed by external contractors
- Guarantee effective repair timelines and assess repair cost projections
- Prioritize maintenance and repair work for company machinery and components
- Oversee and regulate spare parts inventory
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained, cleaned, fueled, and operational
- Collaborate closely with the Safety Department to enforce safety protocols and procedures within the department
- Be available for on-call duties as required
Qualifications:
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
- Adept at functioning in a dynamic environment and managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
- Experience in managing budgets
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Over 8 years of experience in a maintenance management capacity
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Position necessitates frequent standing or walking throughout the workday
- Role requires significant mental focus to effectively carry out complex tasks that demand periods of concentrated mental and visual attention
- Work is conducted in a warehouse setting with regular exposure to environmental factors such as odors, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals
- Ability to lift items averaging 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height
- Capability to operate a two-wheeled hand truck, pushing, pulling, and managing weights up to 165 lbs.
