Facilities Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor with extensive hands-on experience in overseeing and sustaining material handling systems. A robust background in both electrical and mechanical disciplines is crucial for executing maintenance tasks and performing repairs, ensuring that all activities are conducted with professionalism and efficiency. The successful candidate will rapidly develop a thorough understanding of our operational systems and be ready to tackle any challenges that may arise, with a strong focus on safety being essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, train, oversee, and inspire personnel within the maintenance division.
  • Manage tasks carried out by external contractors.
  • Ensure effective repair timelines and assess repair cost projections.
  • Prioritize maintenance and repairs of organizational equipment and components.
  • Oversee and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Guarantee that all vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and fueled properly.
  • Collaborate closely with the Safety Department to enforce safety policies and procedures for the team.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Experience in budget oversight.
Education/Experience/Training:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in a maintenance management capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Position requires frequent standing or walking throughout the workday.
  • Role demands significant mental focus to successfully execute complex tasks requiring sustained concentration.
  • Work takes place in a warehouse setting with regular exposure to environmental factors such as odors, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
  • Ability to lift cases averaging 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height.
  • Capability to operate a two-wheeled hand truck, managing weights up to 165 lbs.
