Title: Substance Use Counselor - Lewiston Office

A Behavioral Health Home Organization (BHHO) is a community- based mental health organization, that is licensed in the state of Maine, has been approved by MaineCare to provide Section 92 services for members eligible for such services.

Andwell’s Behavioral Health Homes team welcomes, engages and serves individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use. Case management services are delivered to adults and children, utilizing a team-based model of care. We aim to improve access to services while ensuring care planning is member driven and inclusive of natural supports as appropriate.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide biopsychosocial assessments for clients, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver substance use counseling services to individual youth and/or adults as well as couples and families.
  • Establish trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.
  • Deliver services to clients in a variety of settings including office, in-home, community and telehealth.
  • Provide consistent face-to-face evidenced-based clinical intervention to clients and their families as clinically indicated.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Must have a current licensure in good standing to practice in the State of Maine as either an LCPC, LCPC-C, LCSW, LMSW-cc, or LMFT; or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, and/or related field required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Prior experience in Substance Use Disorder Treatment is preferred.
