Job Title: Part-Time Substance Use Disorder Counselor

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted programs and providing techniques for handling opioid addiction.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual initial assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility
  • Facilitate and review treatment plans with patients
  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessments
  • Involve families and significant others in patients' recovery processes
  • Develop and participate in individual or group patient teaching projects
Qualifications:
  • Minimum: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or health services field
  • Previous experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
  • Certification required: CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) or LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
  • Essential: Ability to maintain a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patients
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
