Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compiling, computing, classifying, recording and verifying data for the process of billing, accounts receivable, banking, purchase order and credit card management and other miscellaneous accounting duties.
  • Prepare and review accounting documents (invoices/purchase orders/credits/statements) by reading computer files, computing data and entering information into accounting system and customer online billing portals.
  • Receive payments, post amounts to customer accounts and locate, monitor, and confer with customers on overdue balances. Document all collection efforts
  • Answer customer, vendor and employee inquiries related to accounts, procedures and processes.
  • Enter, updates, and retrieves accounting data.
  • Determines content, assembles and retrieves system reports daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly.
  • Interprets and applies instructions and guidelines to resolve work problems.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team to multitask in a fast-paced, detail and production-oriented environment
  • Proficient with MS Office (with emphasis on MS Word, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of root cause failure analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Responds promptly to requests.
  • Follows policies and procedures; supports organization’s goals and values.
  • Adapts to change; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Observes and follows safety and security procedures.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and displays attention to details; monitors own work to ensure quality.

  • Accounting or Business degree preferred but not required
