We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory Medical Technologist to join our medical team for a 13-week contract.
Responsibilities:
- Sample collection and analysis: Collecting blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily samples from patients, and performing laboratory tests to analyze these samples.
- Develops & monitors tests systems, and performs and interprets lab tests for diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
- Equipment operation and maintenance: Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate test results and keeping equipment in good working condition.
- Quality control: Conducting regular quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, including calibrating equipment and verifying test methods.
- Patient interaction and care: Interacting with patients to explain procedures, providing instructions for sample collection, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during the process.
Qualifications:
- ASCP, AMT, AAB Certification
- 2+ Years of Experience within specialty
- Laboratory: Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology
- Strong Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Healthcare Team
- Attention to Detail and Ability to Work Efficiently in a Fast-Paced Environment
