We are seeking a dedicated PRN Medical Laboratory Specialist to contribute to our mission of excellence in patient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Laboratory Specialist is responsible for conducting a variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology, to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic tests in designated laboratory sections.
  • Ensure accuracy in results across hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and other specified areas.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by running controls, calibrating equipment, and adhering to established testing protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science or a related field is required, or eligibility as a medical technologist under CLIA 88.
  • Certification as MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP), or equivalent is required, or candidates must be registry/certification eligible.
  • Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
