Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Jewell Instruments, an industry leader in electronics manufacturing. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components for our advanced electronic products. This role requires a blend of engineering expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Design and Development of mechanical components and systems for electronic devices and to Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate mechanical designs with electronic systems.
  • Analyze test results and iterate designs based on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that designs are feasible and cost-effective for production.
  • Provide technical support during the production process to resolve any mechanical and/or electrical issues that arise.
  • Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing mechanical systems and propose enhancements to increase efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Work with electrical engineers, product managers, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various departments.
