POSITION SUMMARY:

We are in search of a proficient Electrical Engineer to contribute to the ongoing engineering and sustainment initiatives for our advanced noise-canceling headsets, microphones, earplugs, and communication systems. This role is crucial for the continuous improvement and support of our electrical designs throughout the product lifecycle.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:


• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including analog, digital, RF, and power electronic systems


• Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies for effective problem resolution


• Familiarity with electrical schematic capture and PCB design tools; experience with Cadence Orcad and Allegro is a plus


• Ability to analyze electrical component datasheets and collaborate with key component manufacturers


• Experience in manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies; knowledge of electro-acoustic components is preferred


• Understanding of military qualification standards such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 is desirable


• Experience in electrical test development, including proficiency in MATLAB programming


• Strong communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels, both written and verbal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Oversee the schematic capture and layout of electronic circuits (RF, power, digital, and analog) for legacy products, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to production.


• Create engineering documentation for the manufacturing of printed circuit boards and system assemblies.


• Develop comprehensive system block diagrams and schematics to support manufacturing processes.


• Conduct field failure analysis and address quality issues through engineering solutions or product modifications.


• Formulate detailed test plans, manage testing and validation processes, and compile reports.


• Maintain an electrical component database to manage obsolescence and sourcing challenges, proactively identifying alternative components.


• Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges related to legacy product components.


• Contribute to cost estimation, cost reduction initiatives, and sustainment strategies throughout product lifecycles.


• Analyze and interpret test data using appropriate mathematical and statistical techniques, preparing technical reports and recommendations.


• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and technicians to execute electrical engineering tasks for product sustainment activities.


• Assist in the transition of products from design to manufacturing, ensuring producibility and maintainability.


• Provide regular updates on project status, highlighting any deviations from expected outcomes.
