Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Auburn, NH
Level: Experienced/Non-Manager
C Squared Systems is currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. This is a manual testing position with available growth into automation. If you enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, ever changing environment, then we would like to talk with you.
Responsibilities:
- Create/Write and execute test cases
- Manage defects in our tracking system
- Test web-based applications, including cross browser functionality
- Review technical documents to determine testing required
- Produce reporting metrics as needed
- Plan and/or manage projects within the QA team
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge base
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years hands on manual testing experience or relevant experience via internships, co-op programs, or software development
- Must be able to work on site in our Auburn, NH location
- Experience translating software requirements/stories into accurate and complete test scenarios, including identifying the detailed test data needs
- Ability to manage defects from creation to closure with detailed comments and validation steps
- Understanding of software development lifecycles
- Familiar with quality assurance methodologies
In addition, you should have the following characteristics:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and direction
- Strong mentoring skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality
- Passion for learning new technologies, inquisitive, and willingness to ask questions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
