Quality Assurance Role at Whisker

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to lead quality assurance efforts, ensuring software meets high standards before release. The ideal candidate will oversee testing processes, collaborate with teams, and drive efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee all QA activities for projects, including manual and automated testing.
  • Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and load testing to ensure quality across various products.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide feedback early in the development process.
  • Analyze test results, track defects, and ensure that all issues are resolved before release.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools.
  • Ensure product quality meets defined standards and contribute to release readiness assessments.
  • Identify areas for QA process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Software QA Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripted languages.
  • Experience with Mobile App testing of iOS and Android applications.
  • Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Unix/Linux, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Client, and others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of version control systems and issue tracking tools.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions.
  • A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues.
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs).
