Quality Assurance Engineer

Currier Plastics, Inc. is in search of a dedicated and skilled Quality Assurance Engineer, specializing in Industrial, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering. This pivotal role is essential for enhancing manufacturing operations and upholding product excellence while ensuring customer satisfaction.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will engage in evaluating production methodologies, pinpointing enhancement opportunities, formulating and executing strategies, and overseeing process metrics to guarantee ongoing advancement. This position will also work closely with diverse teams to address quality challenges and apply corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement enhancements to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and elevate product quality.
- Track process metrics and apply corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with various teams to tackle quality challenges and implement solutions.
- Engage in new product development initiatives to ensure manufacturability and quality standards.
- Conduct root cause investigations and apply corrective measures for quality discrepancies.
- Generate and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of quality control strategies and protocols.
- Contribute to the overall quality management framework.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies in manufacturing and quality engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within a manufacturing context.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality methodologies, including Six Sigma, DMAIC, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as injection molding and assembly.
- Experience with quality management frameworks and tools, including ISO 9001 and FMEA.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and MS Office applications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous.
