ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Practice Manager is responsible for personnel management and oversight of the daily operations of the practice(s). The manager is responsible for the enforcement of all Community Health policies and procedures. They are also responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating all staff and activities of the practice(s) to provide high quality, cost-effective care.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Selects, hires, trains, coach, and counsel personnel as required to ensure efficient and effective office work.
  • Manages and coordinates all staff/provider schedules.
  • Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide clinical support at site to enable validation/maintenance of licensure.
  • Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Coordinates day to day operations at the sites.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities, as necessary. Ensures that the office is staffed appropriately.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred degree in Health or Business Administration.
  • Five years of operational management experience preferred.
  • Previous dental experience preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management practices and human resource management techniques.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.
