Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients struggling with opioid use disorder.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical services to patients, including medication management, individual and group therapy, and case management.
- Work collaboratively with the OTP Medical Director and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical and psychological needs of patients.
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to assess patient needs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, to inform treatment decisions.
- Administer medications and provide therapeutic procedures, such as injections and wound care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote recovery and wellness.
- Masters Degree in Nursing or Graduate of an American Medical Association approved Physician Assistant educational program.
- 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a specialty area, such as pain management or psychiatry.
- Licensed with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation and certified by a national certifying organization recognized by the Vermont Nursing Board.
- Unit-specific certifications, such as ACLS and TNCC, as required by the department.
- DEA and State of Vermont required CMEs on Substance Use Disorder completed.
- Experience working in an outpatient opioid treatment program.
- Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
