Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients struggling with opioid use disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical services to patients, including medication management, individual and group therapy, and case management.
  • Work collaboratively with the OTP Medical Director and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical and psychological needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to assess patient needs.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Administer medications and provide therapeutic procedures, such as injections and wound care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote recovery and wellness.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Nursing or Graduate of an American Medical Association approved Physician Assistant educational program.
  • 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a specialty area, such as pain management or psychiatry.
  • Licensed with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation and certified by a national certifying organization recognized by the Vermont Nursing Board.
  • Unit-specific certifications, such as ACLS and TNCC, as required by the department.
  • DEA and State of Vermont required CMEs on Substance Use Disorder completed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an outpatient opioid treatment program.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
