The history of Gamez Law Firm dates back to 1973, when Joe Gamez founded our practice. Our history in the community of San Antonio, however, goes back even further. As a former state representative and county attorney, Joe Gamez has been serving San Antonio, Texas, for decades. We are passionate about helping our neighbors through some of lifes most difficult challenges.

We're looking for an experienced and Bilingual Settlement Administrator to be part of a winning team for our clients.

Responsibilities:


  • Organize and Manage Case Files: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all cases in the settlement department.
  • Track the status of each case, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and organized (e.g., UIM PTS/UIM Demand, Health Insurance Liens, Releases, Complete Reductions, Checks).
  • Reductions Follow-Up: Assist with reduction requests by generating reduction letters and communicating with hospitals.
  • Follow up on pending requests to ensure timely resolutions and document all interactions.
  • Letter of Protection (LOP) Provider Reduction Requests: Manage and process LOP provider reduction requests, ensuring all requests are documented. Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Filing Correspondence: Accurately file and organize all correspondence related to settlements, including communication with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
  • Settlement Assistance: Support the settlement process by preparing files, drafting settlement agreements, and ensuring all necessary documentation is in order for auditing (e.g., signed releases, declaration pages, checks).
  • Client and Insurance Communication: Handle incoming calls and inquiries from clients, providing case updates. Make outbound calls to insurance companies to follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the settlement team. Follow up on missing settlement documents such as declaration pages, releases, and the status of pending settlement checks if no notations are received.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in legal or administrative support roles, preferably in a law firm or settlement department.
  • Skills:
    • Bilingual Spanish skills required.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
    • Familiarity with legal terminology and settlement processes is a plus.
