Quality Specialist

The quality specialist is responsible for testing and inspecting products of various complexity and materials. This individual will conduct in-process inspections as well as finished products against controlled drawings. Candidates need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, standard dimensioning, and GD&T. This person will need to work well with people across different projects and departments and collaborate on continuous quality and process improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

Support manual and electronic inspection for various production projects
Support machine shop production through inspection and other tasks as outlined by the Production Manager
Create inspection reports and quality documents for delivery to customers
Support projects by performing inspection of product with various types of quality requirements
Perform HiPot Testing and Electronic testing
Read and interpret engineering drawings of various complexities including the ability to inspect to GD&T requirements
Monitor calibration of tools and equipment
Initiate non-conformances and work with the team to support corrective actions
Support the Material Review Board (MRB)
Create and support material requests for shipment of products
Use inspection equipment such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, CMM, pin gauges, and other tools to support inspection of various products.
Collaborate in a team environment on multiple types of projects
Other duties assigned as needed

Education and Experience:

3+ years of Quality Inspection experience is required
Must be able to read schematics
Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft products
CMM Inspection and/or Programming experience is a plus
HiPot testing experience is a plus
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be a US citizen
Must be drug-free
