Key Responsibilities:
- Refine and establish a robust quality assurance framework that spans from product development to manufacturing.
- Monitor and develop quality metrics to maintain high standards for electronic products that may operate in the field for extended periods.
- Design and implement quality manufacturing protocols, including comprehensive documentation and testing requirements throughout the production cycle.
- Collaborate with key vendors to develop quality control processes and establish metrics for vendor-supplied components.
- Evaluate compliance with ISO standards and internal requirements, ensuring all documentation and systems are up to date.
- Provide expert guidance to our R&D and manufacturing teams, ensuring that quality and reliability are integral to our product lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough quality analyses, including FMEA and root cause analysis, to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Lead the documentation and reporting processes for repaired products, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Facilitate the transition from manual to computerized monitoring systems for maintenance operations.
- Ensure that feedback from customer service and failure analysis is utilized to improve product development and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance for electronic products.
- Proven experience in developing quality systems for products that incorporate both electronic and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with software quality systems and optical/laser technologies is advantageous.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is essential, with knowledge of additional ISO standards being a plus.
- Understanding of international shipping regulations and product certification processes (e.g., NRTL, CE) is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
- Ability to support occasional travel for business purposes.
