  • Review payment denials, underpayments, and payment takebacks for appropriateness and guide resolution by resubmission to the insurance carrier, patient billing, or appropriate adjustment.
  • Provide insight on questions from providers on insurance accounts.
  • Fulfill internal and external requests for outcome data, including developing special reports.
Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist’s Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Three (3) years of RCM experience is required.
  • Essential knowledge of in and out-of-network insurance, Worker’s Compensation, insurance verification, patient responsibility, and process for prior authorization is required.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes and procedures is required.
  • Must be task-oriented and have superb organizational skills.
