Description

Great Western Building Systems seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The Senior Estimator will train staff to produce accurate estimates, and will oversee and manage the estimation team, all estimates produced, and the processes that go into creating estimates.


The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong communication skills. The Senior Estimator should be able to work independently, and effectively teach and manage others to ensure their data is accurate and timely.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor all estimates using Queue management software and ensure that estimates are completed in a timely manner

  • Provide checks/audits to confirm estimation team is providing accurate estimates

  • Manage the estimation team to ensure it is appropriately staffed at all times to maintain 24 - 48 hour estimate turnaround time

  • Approve or Deny time off requests and ensure time cards are being accurately completed and up to date for all team members

  • Communicate effectively with the sales staff and provide training to ensure estimate requests are clear and accurate

  • Collaborate with the sales manager and other management staff to identify problems and create and implement solutions

  • Provide training to the estimators to enhance the complexity of estimates they can accurately provide

  • Make recommendations to management for continuous improvement of processes that will increase speed and accuracy of quotes

  • Estimate buildings accurately and promptly

  • Manage MBS lock issuing and renewals

  • Provide timely MBS file updates to staff to efficiently ensure updated files are installed on all MBS user’s computers.

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience

  • Experience in MBS (Metal Building Software) for a Minimum of 2 Years

  • Experience with PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Building) Designs for a Minimum of 2 Years

  • Experience in Salesforce a plus

  • Minimum 14 months experience estimating buildings using MBS (Metal Building Software)
