JOB SUMMARY:

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Principal Sales Engineer to drive growth in the Western U.S. region for successful, growing global manufacturer over $4B in size.

This is a 100% remote job with flexible hours and up to 60% travel.

What You'll Do:

Account Management: Spend 75% of your time nurturing and growing existing accounts, ensuring they receive top-notch service and support.

Business Development: Dedicate 25% of your time to uncovering new opportunities within the aerospace and defense sectors.

Strategic Growth: Develop and execute winning strategies for business growth in your assigned territories.

Customer Experience: Own the customer journey from initial contact to long-term relationship building

Collaboration: Work closely with our engineering teams to support new product development and align sales efforts with business growth objectives.

Financial Reporting: Support forecasting, budgeting, and quarterly reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

You will play a pivotal role in our growth strategy by developing strategic customer accounts and identifying new business opportunities within the sector. Your responsibilities will include crafting winning strategies for expanding our market presence across assigned territories, proactively analyzing customer needs and issues to provide valuable insights to headquarters and ensuring that our sales channel aligns with the development goals of our engineering team and overall business objectives.

You will also be instrumental in establishing and nurturing key customer relationships, fostering ties to new development programs, and supporting financial reporting through meticulous forecasting, budget management, and quarterly reporting requirements.

QUALIFACTIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in field sales, account management, or business development, preferably in aerospace/defense.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with anti-friction components such as bearings, gears, clutches, and other electro-mechanical components is highly desired. Knowledge of TINA (Truth in Negotiations Act) is a plus.Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. A high sense of urgency and excellent judgment are key.Travel: Ability to travel 50-60% of the time across the territory.Attitude: A “can-do” attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain confidentiality.
