Position Summary:

Roseman University is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including, but not limited to employee recruitment and onboarding (including new hire orientation), employee relations, training and development, policy portal management, and responding to general HR and benefits inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, including progressive HR experience and a passion for working in higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Recruitment and Onboarding:

- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

- Manage the full cycle of recruitment, from job posting to onboarding.

- Conduct interviews and coordinate with hiring managers.

- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

- Conduct effective new hire orientation that ensures a smooth transition from candidate

to new hire.

Employee Relations:

- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries.

- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts.

- Promote a positive work environment and culture.

Training and Development:

- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills.

- Coordinate professional development opportunities.

- Monitor and evaluate training programs for effectiveness.

Policy Portal Management:

- Maintain and update the HR policy portal.

- Ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.

- Communicate policy changes to staff and faculty.

Benefits Administration:

- Respond to general benefits inquiries from employees.

- Assist with benefits enrollment and changes.

- Collaborate with the benefits team to address employee needs.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or a combination of education, skills, and experience to meet the essential functions of the job.

- HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.

- Experience in higher education or healthcare settings preferred.

- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
