About the role

BIOS Technologies is seeking a motivated Information Security Specialist to play an integral part in delivering an exceptional service experience to our client base.

The qualified applicant should be able to manage multiple tasks in an exciting, growth-minded environment while interacting professionally with clients and team members. The Information Security Specialist is critical in securing IT environments by providing hands-on technical vision and leadership for developing, supporting, and monitoring cyber security initiatives. Working closely with one of the Co-Founders, the Information Security Specialist is responsible for proactively reviewing all technology and data against security breaches and vulnerabilities. This includes reviewing, remediation, and escalating all security incidents, alerts, and deficiencies. This individual will provide technical security administrative duties for infrastructure related to firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability management, security monitoring tools, threat hunting, identity management, SIEM tool management, and even new technology like Zero Trust management. Successful Information Security Specialists are detail-oriented and thrive on teamwork.

· Contribute to BIOS’ vision and direction

· Provide outstanding delivery of technical solutions

· Maintain industry expertise through continuous learning

· Monitor networks for security breaches

· Researching IT security trends

· Testing and maintaining firewalls

· Maintaining security software

· Implementing security training

· Vulnerability assessments and remediation

· Backup and DR Management

· Suggesting improvements for security weaknesses

About you

· Minimum 3 years of Information Security related experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, and client-care skills

· Curious and detail-oriented nature

· Exceptional people and problem-solving skills

· Positive attitude and desire to be part of a winning team

Bonus points for:

· Familiarity with Kaseya, Zero Trust Software, and SIEM Tools

· CompTIA Security+, SSCP, or GSEC Certifications

· Experience at a high-growth technology company

· Experience in delivering high quality and innovative solutions
