Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. This role requires a strong understanding of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, and equipment, as well as excellent communication and patient assessment skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures to produce high-quality images
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, and equipment
  • Assess patients and develop effective communication strategies to ensure patient comfort and cooperation
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
  • Ensure the privacy and security of patient protected health information (PHI)

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or Certified MRI Technologist (CMRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience in diagnostic imaging

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and radiology information systems (RIS)
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment:

This role will be based in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
