The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial analysis. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of accounting responsibilities, including financial reporting, payroll processing, and system implementation. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage and mentor a team of AP clerks.
  • Implement a new accounting system (Apfolio) to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Eventually assume responsibility for payroll processing for multiple locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
