Compensation:

$18 - $22 hourly

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:


  • Maintain property management accounting system.
  • Complete day-to-day financial transactions of assigned properties, reviewing and/or posting accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Respond to internal & external accounts payable inquiries.
  • Complete vendor bill runs, payments, and owner distributions.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare individual property financials and supporting documentation for Property Managers and Property Owners on a monthly basis.
  • Serve as backup to Property Management Accountants, potentially both individual single-family properties and multi-family properties.
  • Email/phone correspondence with tenants, owners, and association Board of directors.
  • Perform other duties and special projects.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess an understanding of the accounting cycle; the flow and the treatment of transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze procedural and systems problems and make effective recommendations.
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to handle high volume, multi-tasking, and distractions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Communicate with other departments as well as with external parties.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Being able to work independently with slight supervision.
  • Experience with property accounting including residential properties is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Quickbooks experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Accounting skills, experience, knowledge, and/or education are required.
