TEMP Position

SCHEDULE: M-F 8-5, with a 1-hour lunch break.


JOB TITLE: Front Desk Checkout

REPORTS TO: Business Supervisor/ Practice Administrator

JOB SUMMARY: Primary duties include answering telephones, scheduling appointments, patient check-out and oversight of adult paper referrals and scheduling. Strong telephone, administrative and customer service skills required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist patients in a warm and friendly manner
  • Manage telephone calls and strive to answer on first ring, before third ring.
  • Answer all voicemails promptly.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments for new and established patients.
  • Complete and maintain patient registration and insurance information.
  • Administrative review, registering, and scheduling adult paper referrals. Contacting PCP office for more information on referrals.
  • Scheduling adult paper referrals for Dr. Anema, Dr. Wise, and Jonathan Bradd NP.
  • Request nurse review of referrals as needed.
  • Check out patients, make needed appointments, and collect payments accordingly.
  • Task lab and radiology orders to appropriate physician providers.
  • Schedule and reschedule physician meetings, including lunch appointments with pharmacy and other types of representatives.
  • Maintain positive and effective patient relations at all times.
  • Substitute for other office personnel when necessary.
  • Treat co-workers with respect and courtesy at all times
  • Clean and maintain office equipment, work area and break room
  • Perform other duties as requested by the providers and/or practice administrator
