Cockram Construction, a globally recognized construction services business with over 150 years of history, is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our team in the US. We focus on delivering top-level services in high-tech and challenging industries, particularly in the Pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech and Themed/Attraction sectors.

The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project. This role is critical in ensuring that all project timelines are adhered to, and any deviations are addressed promptly. The position is strictly onsite, requiring daily collaboration with the project team. A background in the pharmaceutical industry is essential for understanding the unique scheduling requirements and regulatory considerations of this sector.

Location: Onsite (West Greenwich, RI). Only candidates who are willing and able to work onsite will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information to create detailed schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly to reflect current status.
  • Identify and analyze potential scheduling delays and risks, and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
  • Prepare regular reports on schedule status, including critical path analysis, earned value, and schedule variances.
  • Conduct schedule reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedule-related presentations for internal and client meetings.
  • Provide input on the impact of changes and adjustments to project timelines.
  • Ensure that all scheduling practices adhere to industry standards and company procedures.
  • Support the project team in resource allocation and workload management based on the project schedule.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling principles and techniques.
  • Experience with critical path analysis and earned value management.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical industry with an understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex schedules and provide actionable insights.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
