Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Service, Inventory and Revenue to join our leadership team at Pinnacle Propane. This critical role will oversee and optimize our gross profit strategies related to various business functions beyond traditional revenue streams, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and profitability across our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to maximize gross profit from non-revenue areas such as service labor management, operational productivity, and margin enhancements through pricing strategies and cost control measures.
  • Analyze and interpret both financial and productivity data to identify opportunities for enhancing profitability and reducing costs within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, Finance and Sales to align gross profit strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for labor management, ensuring productivity targets are met while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to anticipate changes that may impact gross profit margins, and proactively adjust strategies as needed.
  • Standardize our service scheduling process that ensure we meet the needs of our customers and provides visibility to our daily workload by service center.
  • Drive local purchasing habits that aligns with our business needs that creates an acceptable level of inventory and reduces our small parts expenditures.
  • Lead the development and implementation of moving our service billing and digital documentation to Mogo.
  • Lead a team to develop and implement a refurbishment program that provides our local teams the assets required to grow their business. This will include tank and cylinder asset management and future procurement requests.
  • Implement performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress against targets, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to labor practices and cost management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience managing projects and strong understanding of service functions from order to fulfillment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Change management skills.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the propane industry and knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Logistics experience a plus.
