Position Title and Summary
The Operations Administrator organizes and coordinates administrative duties and office procedures for the Collection Department. This role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness and communication.
Reports To
Collections Manager
Responsibilities
- Calculate, complete and maintain Prevailing Wage, Fuel & Highway Recovery Fee, Sales Tax Returns, MRF Statistics, IEPA Air Quality Records and other location specific calculations
- Review MRF billing & scale cash transactions
- Open, sort, deliver and obtain invoice approvals and code invoices specific to company operations
- Liaison with Teamsters Local 673 & review Teamsters benefits and union dues bill for accuracy
- Maintain official scale records & all company operations site records and permits
- Maintain RCI compliance and certification & calculate monthly MRF Statistics
- Reconcile street permits for roll-off division
- Accounts Receivable function for miscellaneous & walk-in transactions
- Backup telephone Customer Service duties for peak call volume periods
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, or related work experience
- Naturally positive, helpful and courteous person who likes to assist co-workers & customers
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Works with team leaders to identify opportunit4es to improve processes, products and services
- Solid waste or recycling industry experience a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, required
- Bi-lingual, fluent English/Spanish
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
- Works in an office setting
- Minimum travel required.
