What you’ll do:

  • Payroll Administration:

  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and timely, including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate payroll reporting and reconciliation.
  • Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, and other company-provided benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and provide information and support regarding benefits options.
  • Manage benefits-related inquiries and issues, coordinating with benefits providers as needed.
  • Conduct annual open enrollment for benefits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Recruiting:

  • Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including managing our ATS, our job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and other talent sources.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment activities and candidate information.

  • Compliance

  • Maintain and update HR records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support our unemployment and workers compensation processes.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and help address employee concerns and issues.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee experience.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration, benefits management, and recruiting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Workday).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience with an exempt and non-exempt environment.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoys an environment of active growth and change.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and working on multiple projects at once.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Comfort with confidentiality.
  • Understand the importance of organized and compliant storage of employee information.
