Overview

American Residential Services is looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to lead our Retail Sales Department. In this role, you would manage a team of sales reps working in one of our partnered retail home improvement locations. The ideal candidate will have experience with leading, mentoring, recruiting, training, and directing a team of at least 8 sales reps/lead generators.

Will manage our Manassas and Lorton locations.

Salary range: $65k-$85k annually plus bonuses with potential for six figures.

Company vehicle provided.


Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact and ARS liaison for a defined territory of Big Box retail locations
  • Foster strong relationships with key account personnel – store managers, pro sales, field leadership, aisle associates
  • Manage hourly/daily sales support associate (SSA) performance, schedules and activities to achieve service center goals.
  • Hold weekly SSA meetings to inform, educate, and motivate individual team members.
  • Provide individual and team progress updates vs. goals.
  • Provide training on technical issues affecting the retail program (seasonal changes, IAQ materials, HVAC equipment, etc.).
  • Create competitive atmosphere between SSAs with internal contests for leads or challenges to a neighboring branch such as a “race” to a pre-determined goal, etc.
  • Spend 60-65% of time in the field with SSAs and retail store management.
  • Meet and / or exceed all ARS-Rescue Rooter established departmental business performance standards for lead generation, SSA staffing, and leads run.
  • Develop and maintain positive, direct, working relationships with retail store personnel and retail store area management.
  • Meet with retail store managers and/or home services team members to provide performance updates and notify of schedule or staffing changes.
  • Schedule and implement planned store “events”, being sure to involve Store Management.
  • Conduct in-store events and product knowledge trainings to ensure store associates are confident engaging customers and driving high quality install & service leads to ARS
  • Work closely with your Regional Sales Manager to execute store contests and celebrations to promote a fun, competitive and goal-driven relationship amongst stores leadership and store associates
  • Accountability for monitoring, meeting and exceeding store goals and company KPIs
  • Attend and participate in weekly and monthly Strategic Alliances calls

Qualifications

  • Must have two years of demonstrated sales experience.
  • A High School diploma, or GED equivalent, and prior work experience is desired.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and selling skills are required.
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends with minimal supervision is also required.
  • This job requires the ability to read and interpret training material.
  • Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
