As a Field Manager/Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the installation, repair, and maintenance of flooring in residential properties. Your role will involve ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, meeting quality standards, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of flooring materials, installation techniques, and project management principles.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans, including task schedules, resource allocation, and material requirements.
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Manage and supervise a team of flooring installers, ensuring proper training, guidance, and support.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, monitoring their progress and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate project progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that installations meet or exceed client expectations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed projects, identifying and addressing any deficiencies or required corrections.
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors, defects, and customer complaints.
- Resource Management:
- Develop project budgets and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize project efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and client satisfaction.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Promote a safety-conscious work environment, providing training and enforcing safety protocols.
- Investigate and report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training in flooring installation or construction management is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Field Manager/Superintendent in residential flooring projects.
- Deep knowledge of various flooring materials, installation methods, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
