Job Summary: The Manager of International Operations will play a critical role in managing and enhancing our international product development and logistics activities. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in international trade, operations management, and supplier relations. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless operations across our global network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers in China and Southeast Asia, negotiating contracts and managing performance.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with suppliers to develop new products, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with market trends and customer needs. Manage the product lifecycle from concept to delivery.
  • Quoting and Cost Management: Prepare detailed quotes for customers and clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Analyze cost structures and work with suppliers to negotiate the best possible terms and pricing.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement and manage operational strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and quality standards. Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of international operations professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, quality control and accounting, to align international operations with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in international operations management, supply chain management, or related roles, preferably within a wholesale distribution environment.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, logistics, and supply chain management. Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management software. Proficiency with Microsoft applications. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
  • Authorized to Work: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Attributes: Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
