Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team at CarParts. As a key member of our Distribution Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the efficient flow of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Staff Management: Schedule and assign employees to perform tasks in receiving, stocking, and other areas of the Distribution Center.
  • Operations Evaluation: Review staff requirements, evaluate operations, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare or supervise the preparation of production records and reports as required.
  • Employee Development: Interview, assist, train, and evaluate employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies and ensure that stock levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain safe operating practices and ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; education and experience may be substituted for one another.
  • Skills: Broad knowledge of distribution operations, functional reading, writing, and math skills, PC literacy, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
