Position Summary:


The purpose of this position is to support the Wabanaki Center for Research, Knowledge and Innovation by providing project management through the various activities and project in the department. A successful candidate should be highly organization and have great attention to detail to ensure all deadlines are met. They will create timelines; workplans; and project tools while working in collaboration with department management to maintain deadlines and hit milestones. This position will also assist with developing education programs and projects for WPHW and Wabanaki Communities. This position is full time, 40 hours per week. 


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Create project management plans for research, data and other projects with management.
  • Develop and implement Click-Up within the education project scopes.
  • Work with CWRKI team to complete projects within allotted timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain education policies and procedures.
  • Address project issues and escalate complex issues to division director, as needed.
  • Perform day-to-day management of project team and address any team issues promptly.
  • Assist in employee recruitment, and training, activities.
  • Assist with ensuring grant deliverable are met in a timely manner.
  • Report project progress, status, and issues if any to management on regular basis.
  • Prepare project documentations and research reports for team review.
  • Facilitate team meetings to discuss project status and issues.
  • Monitor project progress regularly and report the same to management.
  • coordinate and facilitate the education project management life cycle.
  • coordinate study teams and manage research project timeliness.
  • collect and communicate business and research requirements.
  • Work with team to select the most appropriate methodology and techniques for facilitating the projects.
  • Assist with the production of qualitative and quantitative research plans.
  • Assist in the design of research questionnaires and moderator guides.
  • Assist with post-research analyses and evaluations.
  • Make actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support education programs.
  • Assist with staff training schedules to foster skills in data and research.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stake holders to assist with community education and capacity building programs/projects.
  • Support community-based meetings and events, as directed.
  • Attend public health trainings and research and data-based trainings, as needed.
  • Participate in other related work as needed.


Education and Experience Required:


  • Experience with public health research.
  • Experience working with data systems.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in project management, including budgeting, planning, execution, delivery, quality assurance, and reporting. 
  • University degree or college diploma in public health, health, education or a related field AND three (3) years relevant experience required; Master of Public Health degree and at least two (2) years relevant experience preferred. 
  • Experience working in Tribal Communities.

  

Skills and Qualifications Required:


  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook required.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • A strong work ethic and enthusiasm.
  • Willingness to travel; a good driving record and access to reliable transportation are required.
  • All candidates must pass a criminal background check.
