Role Overview

As a Fleet Coordinator you will serve our team members by maintaining a 7-million-dollar fleet with over 200 vehicles. This is an administrative and operational role that primarily focuses on coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs. You will be directly involved with plan maintenance and improvements, as well as helping to develop innovations that will improve efficiency.

Core Functions

  • Facilitate communication between management and team members. Monitor vehicle maintenance and repair and ensure that employees are aware of company driving and safety policies.
  • Ensure employee vehicles are in proper working order. Oversee departmental repair shop practices, manage fleet inventory, and purchase additional vehicles if needed.
  • Maintain a database of truck and driver information. Promote the cost-effective and appropriate operation of departmental vehicles.
  • Create and generate monthly vehicle usage reports, quarterly personal mileage reports and present these to upper management as needed.
  • Assist with vehicle purchases, replacements and process improvement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Variation of environments.
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium and high pitch.
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
  • Ability to lift 20 - 75 pounds.

Hours and Schedule

  • Average 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F).
  • Travel is regularly required.
